The weekly spotlight page is a space for me to promote the work and projects of local artists and creatives of all type, in person and those online! There will be a featured person each week and it rotates as more sign up to be featured! The ideal is to have a new featured artist every Friday! Check out the forms below!

Emma Galloway Stephens

(Poet, Traditional Creative)

Emma is a poet, professor, and a positively delightful intellectual who has a kind spirit and heart of gold that shows through her ability to listen and to simply sit and be present with someone. Passionate about her craft, she has published a total of 44 poems in various literary magazines and has her first book coming out this April entitled, "No Billboard Gospel" and a second on the way later in the year. Thought provoking, well written, and beautiful, Emma's poems are a lovely treat for both the new and the experienced.

C.L. Darling

Christi is an author, illustrator, and craft maker who loves fantasy, history, and has recently written a gothic novella entitled, "Our Sharp Lives". Her art is similar to what you would find in an old but well-loved book of fairytales. And her reflections and observations on her substack are engaging, intriguing and well-written. Overall, Christi is a welcome respite from the daily grind with her immersive, nostalgic coded, beautiful work, both written and created.

An Etsy shop based in the UK with products that help with advocating, accommodating, and communicating mental and physical disabilities! Pins, tote bags, stickers, post cards, mugs, and sweatshirts are sold, and have a custom option as well. From disclosing medical issues such as, "I have seizures" to "I struggle hearing in loud places" to "Tell your cat I said hi" Josh's creations are sure to bring relief and fun to any outfit, bag, mug, or post card you may choose!

Joy Jaeger

Joy is a traditional artist creating awareness and appreciation for chronic illness and skin conditions through her art. She has a bright and charming style, expressing her vision through a variety of mediums. From acrylics, to watercolor, sketching and recently polymer clay - Joy's art is an instantly recognizable style filled with bright colors and a soft, unique approach to characters and their disabilities.

Using traditional techniques in a modern medium, Sarah brings a spark of nostalgic familiarity with her landscapes and buildings. From scenic mountain views to rustic old barns, each location has a story and charm of its own which is beautifully captured. Created by three sisters with a passion of sharing scripture through art, Drawn to Glory creates prints and tiny tattoos with bible designs, nostalgic touches, art based on classic literature, and so much more. Started from the hand drawn calendars they would make for their family every year, the three sisters have grown in their art, creating an endearing, beautiful, unique, and instantly recognizable style.

The soft, storybook-style art with cozy, introspective charm, brings a delightful nostalgic feel like a warm drink on a cold rainy day. Karoline's digital illustrations, thoughtful character design, and beautifully distinct style create art that feels both whimsical and deeply personal. Vibrant character art with a polished, cinematic feel, and her work blends professional children’s-book and character-design sensibilities with nostalgic fan art and expressive original pieces.
