What is a variety blog?
Under the Sun is a multi-media blog that features written text posts, videos, photos, and whatever else my creative heart desires. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, and I love sharing things with people.
The blog serves as a creative soundboard for me to consolidate and share ideas, recommendations, and resources all in one place! And since there's "nothing new under the sun" the pressure's off and I can have as much fun as I want!
Behind the Blog / Get to know Me
Hi! My name is Kayla. I am a young woman in her mid-twenties who is Autistic and I have ADHD. I enjoy writing poetry, painting with watercolor, various arts and crafts, vintage tech, radio shows, the occasional wordsearch puzzle, thrifting, and spending time with friends. I am a Christian, I like to say I'm non-denominational, so I don't get stuck with a stereotype - but honestly, I'm a Baptist. I'm a detail oriented, step-by-step thinker, rather than a bird's eye view / big picture person. I graduated college with a Bachelor's in Theatre (and no I don't use it and don't want to get a job in that because I need something steady and reliable), and right now I'm just trying to do the next right thing and enjoy life when I can and create things, enjoy people, and deeply connect with people. Overall, I want to experience joy and share what I learn as I grow and enjoy life with God under the sun.
